Hostasaurus.Com is a reseller of PayPal's Payflow payment gateway system (formerly Verisign Payflow Pro). This payment gateway integrates very well with our hosting plans for those customers wishing to have real-time credit card authorization and/or payment processing. We chose to resell the PayPal Payflow Link and Payflow Pro systems exclusively after years of experience with numerous gateways and finding this one to be the most reliable and best supported for our customers. Payflow Link or Pro are not merchant accounts, only a gateway service provided by PayPal that allows transactions to pass from your store to your merchant account.

You are not required to use Payflow Link or Pro as your gateway to host with us. We are offering Payflow as an additional service to our hosting plans for your convenience. Payflow Pro is a supported gateway for most shopping carts, including OSCommerce, Miva Merchant, ZenCart, and X-Cart, all of which are supported on our hosting plans. Payflow Link is also supported by many, but not all, carts.

The difference between the two is that Payflow Link has the shopper leave your site and go to pay on a website provided by PayPal while Payflow Pro keeps the shopper on your site while they are paying. Do not worry about the Payflow Link product requiring the customer to sign up with PayPal, it does not work like that, it's strictly a payment page where they put in their information, there is no requirement to create an account or other ties to traditional PayPal payments.
